Last Wednesday I had the pleasure of playing up in Chanhassen, MN at School II. It was a great trip and I’ll have more about how it went in a post on Monday. But for now I just wanted to share my new tune with you.
It is called “Cold Shoulder”. It is basically a tune about getting home really late after being out with my buddies all night. I bet many of you can relate to this whether you are the one home alone or the one getting home late.
Either way, here it is. Let me know what you think and don’t be afraid of sharing it with everyone you know.
A big thanks to Stephanie Shinn for the great video footage.
OH, and before I forget, be on the look out for some future posts on this very subject. You could just sign up to my fanlist at visit PlanetCorey.com. I will deliver the article right to your email inbox and I’ll even give 3 free mp3 downloads right now just to say thanks.
Check out this video of an artist named Matthew Ryan. While I am will be performing in the lobby during intermissions at the Americana Showcase on April 15th at the Rochester Mayo Civic theatre, Matthew will be one of the artists on the main stage.
Now I know you might think that I am biased for what I am about to say, since I am playing there myself, BUT I’ve been a spectator at two previous Americana Showcases and I can tell you that there is nothing like them around here – especially if you are fan of any form of acoustic music. The environment is very intimate and the people – artists and fans – are extremely friendly and way passionate.
Bottom line, if you are a music fan, you don’t want to miss these types of shows.

"Never Too Late is a kind of ‘every man’ record for the hard-working Joes who know that all you need to enjoy life is a good beer and the love of a good woman. Great words to live by. The album is also touching for its sincerity because of Corey’s ability to make the listener comfortable, whether it be from his asides or his laid back nature." — Felicia Ceballos-Marroquin, RecordSpeak

"I listened to both versions of your song "How to Change the World" and was very pleasantly surprised. The recording is quite well done, and tha main thing I look for in any kind of music is passion in the vocals and lyrics. "You want to change the world, you can't stand by" is something I would personally agree with. I think you should be promoting this song more - it's strong." - Steve Moore from Canadian rock band The Unravelling
