New Music: Why Fight It by Corey KoehlerHere's some new music for you. I figured I would change it up a bit this month with something live. It was recorded at the L-Cove in Minnesota City a few years back by a friend of mine by the name of Jason Spartz (Mudstone Music).

It is just one of my former sidemen Doc Roc and I jamming away on a simple little song I made up called “Why Fight It?” Check it out.

Lyrics

Come on baby let go of yourself
And sit right next to me up here on the shelf
We’ll sit right here on cloud number nine
We’ll have our fun and watch the other ones try
Sooo

Why fight it
Why fight it
Why fight it
Just be mine

You invite your friends, I’ll invite mine
We’ll have a hell of a time
We’ll barbeque every day, we’ll strike up the band
We’ll spend our dyin’ days with our toes in the sand
Sooo

Why fight it
Why fight it
Why fight it
Just be mine

Come on baby let go of yourself
And sit right next to me up here on the shelf
We’ll spend our days on cloud number nine
We’ll have our fun and watch the other ones try
Sooo

Why fight it
Why fight it
Why fight it
Just be mine

Name Your Price

You will notice that the price is currently set to “Name Your Price.” It means what it says and even includes paying nothing (yep, the song is completely free. Costs you $0). And you can download the new music in any version you would like – mp3, wav, ogg, etc . Hell you can even send a copy to your friends if you feel like it and I will not call the internet police or the RIAA or anything like that.

Just so you know, If you pay anything at all between now and the first Monday in September (when I release more new music), I will put your name in the song credits under “Associate Producer” or whatever title you choose. This will forever link you to the song and proudly put you on display for everyone to see that you are supporting one very grateful musician. Your name will reside in the credits on Bandcamp, iTunes, Amazon, CdBaby, etc for now but when it comes time to release physical copy of the CD, it will be there too.

“Your contribution not only helps me offset the cost of providing this music for free but it also tells me that you think what I am doing is worth the effort and that you want me to continue creating more music and moments for you.”

A Big THANKS to last month contributors – Associate Producers: Jim Jerome, Nicole Gentry, and Jim Scherley.
